New Year R Family Tours on Tuesday 22nd and Thursday 24th November 2022 9.30 - 11.30am

We are delighted to let you know of our forthcoming Open Mornings for new starters in September 2023.

These are being held on Tuesday, 22nd and Thursday, 24th November between 9.30 - 11.30am.  There is no need to book just turn up between these times, there are tours taking place all morning.  We are happy for any members of your family to come along to see the school.

If you are unable to attend these sessions please contact us and we can make a convenient appointment with Mr Paterson, the Headteacher, or Miss Parker, the Deputy Headteacher.

Please do visit the school's Facebook page to see more learning across the school. We can be found at, @SwanmoreCEPrimary.

Online School Tour

Below is a virtual tour of the school that we created during COVID, when families were unable to visit the school in person, to give a flavour of life at Swanmore Primary.  Some of the classrooms look a bit different because of the restrictions that were in place at that time, for example the tables are separated and in rows.  Luckily this is no longer the case, and the children are once again able to work collaboratively together. We also have an ongoing programme of developments across the school, both within the school building and across the grounds, so some areas have changed recently. However, the video still gives you an overview of the school and the facilities that we have, so please do give it a watch!

Most recently, changes have included the addition of 4 chickens, a new play frame on the field, an outdoor library and refurbishment of the Year R unit. Our YR classroom environment has been designed to stimulate rich play with opportunities for the children to develop effective learning through: Playing & Exploring (engagement), Active Learning (motivation) and Creating & Thinking Critically.

Have a watch through the powerpoint slideshow below to see how our Year R unit looks now – we’re very proud of it!
