Child Led Worship

At Swanmore Primary we have different ways that the children get involved with Worship.
One way is through our Worship Council.  Every year there is one member of each class who are chosen by their peers to be their Worship Council member.  The Worship Council member then meet with different adults in school to explore, review, inspire, and change how Worship is used around our school.
Another way is WOW (Worship on Wednesdays) where a KS2 class conduct Worship to the rest of KS2 in our local church, St. Barnabas.
We hope you enjoy exploring our child led worship albums below.
(Don't forget to also check out the 'prayer spaces' tab and our 'thought for the week' tab to look at more ways children take part in Worship throughout their time at Swanmore Primary!)

This week 6H led WOW exploring our thought for the week ‘Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.’

6H shared their greed monsters, and made us think about how greed can shape lives - how would God want us to act when greed is in front of us?  This linked to how, as a school, we have generously donated food to Southampton City Mission for their food bank during the harvest period.
