At Swanmore CE (A) Primary School we offer a broad and balanced curriculum which tailors the 2014 National Curriculum to meet the needs of our children. Our ‘Project’ approach to planning secures engagement and provides a range of interesting first-hand experiences.

Learning is structured through ‘Projects’ which vary in length, to offer flexibility, depending on the content of the project.  Projects begin with a ‘hook’ or stimulus for the children’s learning, to actively engage them. The main body of work is planned by the teachers but offers children opportunities for their input into aspects of their work. Finally, there is an audience who can offer feedback on the children’s achievements. Our aim is to motivate and excite the children to want to achieve their best.

We plan opportunities for children to learn from visitors and through educational visits and off-site activities wherever possible.
