Outdoor Education
A special feature of our school is the emphasis given to outdoor education both in the school grounds and beyond.
All year groups undertake curriculum linked day trips. In addition to this we have a programme of woods visits for Key Stage 2 children. We are fortunate to have access to a privately owned woodland area situated just over an hours walk from school. Children follow a series of activities designed to develop their awareness of, and sensitivity to the environment.
Our 'Outdoor Programme' includes residential visits for Years 4, 5 and 6 children.
These visits, our Personal, Social and Health Education Programme and Collective Worship form a major part of the opportunities for spiritual development offered to the children at Swanmore.
